Squarespace is the one your client has already heard of. That matters more than designers like to admit, because it shortens the conversation where you explain what you are putting their business on.

It is strong at the job it was built for. A good looking brochure site with a small store attached, which the owner can make simple edits to without breaking anything or calling you on a Sunday.

Its limit shows up when the site needs to be something unusual. You are working inside a set of decisions somebody else made, and the further your idea sits from those decisions the more the platform fights you.

On leaving, there is a content export and it is partial. You get your words and images in a form another system can read. You do not get a working website, so a move is always a rebuild with a head start.
